Todd Rundgren's Patronet is a great idea from the great man himself.Subscribe and you get his works in progres,dvd's,on-line chats with Todd and VIP tickets to his gigs.He IS a genius, and like Robert Anton Wilson, he is an Intelligence Agent. Also, check his own site.
On the subject of the Great Man Todd,if you're a fan then check out my friend EJ's Hot Toddie's,a great site where you'll find some amazing clips of Todd on various TV shows. Some very rare footage here and To see Todd performing Just One Victory inwhat looks like a spandex super-hero costume is something I'll never forget. He IS one of the Few...
Phil Hilborne - I think I owe it all to Phil. When I first met him I was working a desk job but he convinced me that I had it in me to be a professional musician,so thanks Phil.e is a TRULY great musician and person.
Dave Bunce - A good friend and a great guitar player!
Bliss are Lucinda Drayton and Andrew Blisset, and in my humble opinion they are utterly fantastic.
Fortean Times - I was a Fortean even before I knew it,and I can't recommend this magazine enough to anyone with an interest in the weird and un-usual.Informative and thought provoking, with a twisted sense of humour and high academic standards.
Fuse Mag - Superb on- line source for fusion related reviews, interviews, links and general anorakness.
G3music.com - Music for fillum and videos provided by monster sax player Gregg Heath
Jazz Cafe - Practically a home away from home for me.I've played there numerous times and seen some fantastic musicians perform there too.Joe Henderson last year was brilliant.Intimate and good food too....
Jazz Services - Providing an invaluable source of information for all aspects of the UK jazz scene. If you're just starting a band and need to know who to contact for gigs etc...the Jazz services Guide is a must have. The site is informative and musicians and band leaders can add their details to the data base.
Anita Kelsey - Brillaint singer/songwriter/diva currently thinking up ways to keep herself in the style to which she has become accustomed.Writing songs for fillum,TV and featured on the soundtrack to the sci-fi cult classic fillum Dark City.
Mind,Body and Spirit Festival - Spiritualism, gurus,,healing, aliens, past lives,UFO's,crystals, men with long beards and incense ....if this sounds like your particular cup of herbal tea then this is for you... me? ..I've played there five years on the run and feel right at home ...2001 will be thier 25th year and I'm glad to say that I'll be playing there again.Space Cadets Unite!!! Say it LOUD...: I'm Hat Stand and I'm PROUD!!!
Paul Carmichael - Superb bassist/composer who's played with Allan Holdsworth , Steve Topping and Gary Husband amongst others....also had the dubious honour of giving me my first gigs playing "that" kind of music, way back when in the early 90's..It goes without saying that I played terribly ,but I learned a LOT! Thanks Paul...
Ray Carless - Brilliant London based sax player with Afro Beat,Jazz Warriors,Jazz Jamaica who also co-leads the band R&R 2 with Roland Sutherland (and featuring some guy called Mo on geetar).
Shakti Bomb - You may know Andy Allen as producer and one half (along with keyboard wizard Matt Cooper) of London based Dorado label artists OUTSIDE.He's now based in LA and producing acts like David Sylvian and Chaka Kahn.AIIYEEEE!! Big hello to my LA friends!!
Tim Crowther - Superb guitarist from such cult faves as Groon and Network,Tim was responsible for helping me get my shit together when I was a kid by givimg me a tape of Eubanks,Holdsworth,Scofield and McLaughlin that cemented my desire to play guitar.Check out some Network CD's....fusion at it's most fervent.
Tony Remy - Superb UK guitarist who I saw playing many times back in the days when I was just beginning to learn about Jazz. His new label features some of the best players on the UK jazz scene and it's well worth checking out his new blues band ,especially for Julian Cramptons totally sublime bass playing.
Twisted Therapy - Bizzare on line site featuring brain damaging prose ,provocative musings, highly ironic clip art/visuals and plain old fashioned barmy conjecture...I think...hey Bobby Dazzler, sing me an ansa phone song in your best Harry Nillson clothes...
Zen Terrorists - Trance dance outfit from London who also happen to be practically family to me.Regular live shows at Escape from Samsara have made these guys a cult fave and they have a new album out that is well worth checking out.
